Emily Jo | Class of 2012 | Senior Portraits

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it  again - with Fine Line Photography you are not merely a time slot on the calendar or a check to cash.  When you book your portraits you become a part of a family.  Whether it’s helping fuse our visions into one, picking out what you will wear, or even posing right along with you during your shoot – we’re here to make your portraits as enjoyable as possible!  Further more, your first shoot is rarely your last one. I’ve shot Emily three twice since her first shoot – the most recent one I called her up and asked if she was free this afternoon to go out and shoot because I had some free time.  With Fine Line Photography, portraits go from something that you can’t wait to finish to something that you’d love to do again and again!

Check out these beautiful shots of Emily Jo!

And she wrote this super sweet testimonial for us! I have been so blessed to get to work with such incredible seniors this year and in the past years.  Looking forward to getting to know and hanging out with the class of 2012 this fall and next spring!

John | 2012 Senior | Fine Line Photography

John is one awesome guy. If he can’t make you laugh then something is seriously wrong with you. Our first shoot got rained out (Apparently 10% chance of rain means a thundering down pour…) and when we met up for the second shoot it began to sprinkle (This time there was a 0% chance) we were worried but thankfully it stopped fairly quickly! We got some great shots and had an awesome time. Of course, how could any shoot that involves Zaxby’s not be a good one?

Sarah | 2012 Senior | Fine Line Photography

As with many of the seniors that I shoot, I met Sarah years before she was a senior. Ss you can tell, Sarah is an absolute natural in front of the camera.  I couldn’t have asked for a better day for pictures.  Ha I still can’t believe that I took some of these shots!  You can be sure that you’ll be seeing some of these shots on ads and business cards in the future!  Here are just a few of my favorites…

Like these pictures?  There’s no reason you can’t have ones just like them!  Senior Portrait sessions start at $125 and include a disc of all the edited photos!  Call us today to set up your session! 334.329.8994

Off to Greece!

Image

This summer, Fine Line Photography is headed to Greece!  Well, half of us are at least.  My sister/business-partner is going to Greece on a mission trip this summer!  She has been a huge supporter in everything concerning Fine Line Photography and now we have a chance to help her!  But don’t just take my word for it! Keep reading!

Beth has been a huge part of Fine Line Photography since the beginning.  Whether modeling, driving us to destination weddings, or editing everything that you read on the Facebook page, Beth has played a huge part in getting Fine Line to where it is today.  She has always supported me, even to the point of sacrificing her time, sanity, and what she would rather be doing.  No matter how stressful her day may have been, if I needed her for a shoot she’d be there.  This year I even made her trek out on Christmas day in the blustery Kentucky cold; She didn’t complain the entire time because she knew it meant a lot to me to get the practice.

Currently she’s in school at Auburn University studying to become a teacher.  I can’t think of a better job for Beth.  She’s a natural teacher, always so willing to give of herself and make everyone feel special and loved.  Beth has shown me the importance of sharing my entire life. (Especially when she used to let me “loan” her money when she was running low)  Now it’s my turn to share her with the world.  People keep telling us how Greece is in turmoil currently, but you know what?  I can’t think of a better person to help out a struggling nation than my sister, Beth.

So now you’ve seen how much she’s supported me, but how can we support her?  I would try to explain everything, however, you probably wouldn’t be able to tell when was happening between my misspelled words and misplaced commas.

If I give y’all a link to Beth’s blog you have to promise not to judge me because, hers puts mine to shame.  Deal?

Read her blog post about the trip. If you feel like it; show her some love and support her!

And no worries, I promise to make her take tons of pictures and hopefully I’ll be able to update y’all throughout her trip!

Emily | 2012 Senior | Fine Line Photography

Aaah! I just realized that I never posted 2012 Senior Emily’s portraits to the blog!  I feel like it was probably because her session was smack dab in the middle of the 30 Faces in 30 Days project or just that I wasn’t keeping things very updated back then.  Either way here she is now!

Emily was so much fun to shoot and she’s incredible in front of the camera.  Her sister, 2011 senior, Amanda came to assist and was a huge help.  No one is more helpful or encouraging on a shoot then a past senior.  I don’t know how many people have told me that they want pictures like Emily’s. I mean come on though, who wouldn’t?  I was so pleased with all of these and am excited to finally get them on the blog!

We love our returning clients!  No bigger compliment than a family that keeps coming back for more! If only there were another Missildine that would need senior portraits next year!

Isa | 2012 Senior | Fine Line Photography

I mentioned 2012 senior Isa when she came to assist on 2012 senior Allison’s session, but now it’s time for her own post!  We all had a great time on Isa’s shoot, her mom and Allison came to assist and everything went really well!  I was excited that we actually had to burn daylight waiting for the sun to get lower! It’s been several months since I’ve had that “problem” but it’s one of my favorite problems to have.  Spring is coming!  Here are a few of my favorites of 2012 senior Isa!

Allison | 2012 Senior | Fine Line Photography

I can’t stress enough what an honor it is to take all of these incredible people’s senior portraits.  One day, I’ll turn on the news and see that one of my senior’s is leading in the polls for president.  Another senior will be a doctor that may never make the news, however will save hundreds of lives.  I could go on forever on how these seniors will one day change the world, but all I wanted to say is that I consider every shoot an honor.  Sometimes I’ll edit an image four times, deleting it each time because it’s just not perfect. When you see your photos for the first time I want you to be as excited about them as I was about getting to do your shoot.

I had a great time with 2012 senior, Allison, and 2012 senior, Isa, who came to assist on the shoot.  We had fantastic weather, if I hadn’t known better I would’ve thought it was late April.  I loved all these shots of Allison and I can’t wait for her to see all of the final images but here are a few of my favorites.

What to Wear | Neutral

Picking out what you will wear for your senior session can seem quite daunting, but here at Fine Line Photography we strive to make everything as stress free as possible!  Every so often we put together an inspiration board of clothing possibilities for your senior portrait session to help get your creative juices flowing!

When in doubt, neutral colored clothing is always a safe choice. These are just a few possibilities that show how you can pair something neutral with bolder pieces for a stunning look.

Get Connected

One advantage to being 16 and owning a business is that I’ve grown up using what all the businesses these days are working on integrating into their marketing arsenal- Social Networking.  I don’t have to guess what apps you as the client are using because I’m using the same ones.

Fine Line Photography understands that you pick your photographer by who takes the best pictures and can get those pictures in front of you on your Iphone with the least amount of hassle. You need things sent directly to your inbox, News Feed, or Twitter feed, or that never-ending Pinterest page. Between academics, sports, extra-curricular activities, and social events you don’t have time to waste sifting through meaningless web pages.

So if you’re wondering how you can stay in the loop with Fine Line Photography this is for you.

Andrew | 2012 Senior | Fine Line Photography

Monday morning was so dark and wet I never would’ve thought I would have a shoot that afternoon, but by noon it was starting to clear up and we booked the shoot! Some people you have to keep reminding throughout the shoot to smile or just to relax and look natural, but not Andrew. He’s the most easy-going, relaxed guy you’ll ever meet which makes photographing him just that much easier. Hope the rest of your senior year is great!
